Make Your Own Big Give Sock Monkey
Instructions
Here's What You Need:
- Your 8th Edition New York Tech Socks

- Sewing needle and thread
- Two buttons for eyes
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Marker
Step 1: Body and Legs
- Turn one sock inside out.
- Lay it flat with the heel facing up.
- Cut straight up the middle from the opening to about 2 inches below the heel.
- Sew along both cut edges to form two legs, leaving an inch unsewn.
- Turn right side out and stuff firmly. This is the body and legs.Big Give Community Partners are critical in ensuring the success of the Big Give.
Step 2: Arms, Tail, Ears, Mouth
- Take the second sock, turn inside out, and cut pieces for:
- 2 long strips (arms)
- 2 half circles (ears)
- 1 long thin strip (tail)
- 1 oval (mouth)
- Sew each long strip into a tube leaving an opening on one end. Turn right side out and stuff
- Sew the round part of the ears, stuff, then sew closed.
Step 3: Sew Together
- Sew arms to each side of the body.
- Sew the tail onto the back.
- Sew the mouth panel onto the face. leaving an inch unsewn to stuff before closing.
- Sew ears on each side of the head.
Step 4: Add the face
- Sew on buttons
- Add a smile!
